How To Ride
Everything you need to know about using and caring for your Moon Scooter.
Activation
When you connect to your scooter, it will activate for one month. Each month, connect with the app to reactivate your scooter for an additional month. The app is not required to use the scooter the rest of the month.
Safety First
Don't forget to use your helmet!
Prior to your ride, check the condition of your scooter. Make sure there are no loose bolts or parts. Check your brakes and tires.
Power & Speed Modes
Press the power button once to turn it on. To switch between speed modes, click the power button once.
Hold the power button for two seconds to activate walking mode. Double-click the power button to turn on the lights.
How to Operate
- Power scooter on
- Kick off at 2 mph+ and THEN push the throttle to accelerate
- Squeeze the brake handle to slow down or stop
Kickstand
Don't forget to put your kickstand up before riding! Do not lose the pad located under the kickstand. If you do, contact Moon.
Folding
To fold the scooter:
- Push small silver nub
- Pull large latch back
- Fold the scooter shaft down
Unfolding
When folding back up, make sure latch is clipped securely and handle bars are locked in place. Wiggle the handle bars to make sure!
Brake Maintenance
Check your brake regularly, at least once a month. Turn the bottom screw clockwise to tighten. Inspect for wear and proper function.
Manage Payment
Manage your payment on the app: Change your card for autopay. Pay early.
In-App Features
Depending on your plan, you may be able to adjust your speed. You can control the volume of the motion sensor alarm as well.
- • Turn the motion sensor alarm on/off
- • Turn the visibility light on/off
Charging
To charge your scooter, plug the charger into the port and outlet.
⚠️ Do not leave the scooter uncharged for an extended period of time. It may cause irreversible damage to the scooter if left on low power.
